Black and White

by LettersFromEnnis   Nov 1, 2005

Monochrome
Drained
Abandoned
Yes, thats my world

Lifeless
Lackluster
Hollow
And the color has been lost

I gaze off in the distance
Doubtfully
But still hoping to see something
Any pink blush

But Ive once seen color
Bright red
Beautiful thing
As it drips from me

But I cant repair whats been done
I cant paint the colors back
Thrown away
Vanished

Thoughts lie in my head
About things
Things that should never be let out
Kept locked away

Mind of thin air
Its all too confusing
Its too hard
I cant handle this

Murdered
Killed
Torn apart
Bleeding heart...

I wander in a world
A place
Blank and empty
Like me

Sometimes I wish
Someone out there
Will find me
And save me from myself

Theres no place like mine
Its unique
In a way
Thats not

Sometimes I look
At my shadow
Its dark
It blends in my colorless world

But this place
Its too demanding
For what it wants
Color

Anyone can color this canvas
Paint it the way it should be
But Ill forever live in my world
Of black and white
