Hidden truth

by Leanne   Nov 7, 2005

The rain is dripping
as my tears fall free
The sun is setting
as my heart starts to bleed

as i wait for the rain
to hide away the tears
and the dessert sun
to take in all my fears

This is not me
behind this mask
always hiding the truth
trying to hide my fears

The truth that lies
in front of the mirror
the hurt and the pain
hidden again and again

i don't know who i am
a stranger buried in the sand
in another soul
trying to get free

no more shame
feeling such pain
always hidding in the dark
smiling and hiding the tears deep inside

as the early birds chirp
and the little worms flee
just how things
should truly be

    Wow.
    This needs no improvment.
I expected it to be good..All throughout.
But, the more I read, the more I liked.
Another poem that was good, good, good, AMAZING.

Everybody has secrets and feelings they hide, some are just far more extreme then others.Sometimes letting out the truth isn't as bad as we think it will be. excellent poem 5/5

Very nice! Just one think I thought I should point out:

    "and the *dessert* (desert) sun"
-just a simple spelling mistake =) happens to everyone.

Overall, very nice poem! The flow was great and I liked how the stanzas were short but got to the point! Great job!
