The end of the world

by Mona   Nov 22, 2005

The end of the world

Knelt down in the middle of a street,
Rain hits the ground; I can feel the beat,
Bashing my fists right into mother earth,
Hoping she will never again give birth

My face on the asphalt of a highway,
Our time has come so kneel down to obey,
Rain hits my face, droplets on my lashes
I can hear the world around me as it crashes

Bashing my head into the ground,
The world should turn the other way around,
Can someone tell me; where did we go wrong?
We must have forgotten where we belong.

Can you feel the earth losing its ground?
Can you feel it slip away, never to be found?
I do, so I bash my head into the road,
Hoping the world won't explode.

    Awesome poem.

This time I could really feel it.

The imagery was so..vivid. I could see it all happen, and it all eruptured at that one point, "Bashing mother earth with my fists"

That's when it all happened, everything just formed.

The poem read itself, it was amazing.

I just really don't know what to say other than great job, keep up the good work, and welcome to my favorites.
