A Forbidden Tear

A forbidden tear that I let fall
Holding back I felt it all
I tried to stay strong in front of your eyes
Because this smile holds nothing but lies
I'm dying inside and it's because of you
The minute you told me that you were through
I laughed it off and said me too
And ended it all with a "f___ you"
I cried that night and the day after
But when I saw you all I showed was laughter
This endless night of drunken sorrow
For me, there will never be a tomorrow
You were never really there for me
And this is what was meant to be.
