Autumn Sorrow

Run your hand along my bark
Can you feel my traces of pain?
Gashes littered across my trunk
Like your scarred arms and vein.

Observe my scattered branches and twigs
Can you see my state of mind?
Twisted and broken in so many ways
Like the shattered dreams you canâ??t find.

Smooth my crumpled scarlet leaves
Do you know the emotions I feel?
I am unable to release my tears
Unlike you, I cannot heal.
