The Silver Line

by The Queen of Spades   Feb 28, 2006

I walk across my silver line
It gleams under me
A sinister smile
Pretense is its game
Pulling away
And the ground beneath me
Begins to quiver
The once lovely sky darkens
A thin crack spreads and--
SMASH
A bomb like a sun
Breaks, destroys, annihilates
Shattered pieces of cloud
Rain down on me
Is that--so red--blood
On my path
Thte earth still shakes
Nowhere to go
I only wish I had a chance to say--
CRASH
My forgotten silver line
