X Opposites Attract

In many ways we are the same
But opposites attract
So many days, it's all the same
I'm starting to refract

A suicidal note I write
A prison cell, A dimming light
Whats left
Reflects
This sharp-edged knife
My hunger strike
My fading life

Listen for once, we're meant to be
But I can't stop this nightmare dream
I crash
And burn
Now can you see?
I cannot sleep
But sit and weep

Look into these sorrowful eyes
But as you look, my hatred dies
Feelings
Dying
And now I cry
My life's a lie
I just ask why

Just for one day with you
I'd take my life forever
Just because I'm not you
Doesn't mean
We can't be together.
