X Another Riddle

by Sole   Mar 27, 2006

I hate the modern world
The boats and fumey planes
Which pollute my water
And cause me so much pain

And like you try to kill me
I will destroy those
Who try to defy me,
Try to escape my throws

But they will suffer
In my equilateral hate
They can try to avoid me
But they cannot avoid fate

What am I?

4/5. Good but the rhythm could be better. Interesting riddle... perhaps the ocean? Or Mother Earth?

If you comment back, I'd appreciate comments on any of my poems that don't yet have any.

Hm. I liked this. I'm not very good at riddles, though. So, I have no idea what the answer could possibly be. Hm..

In the third stanza, I dislike the repetition of "avoid". Meh. Not a huge deal or anything, just a personal thing.

    Five out of five.
