Dance Of The Fire Flies.

by Steven Beesley   May 3, 2006

Dance Of The Fire Flies:

In the pitch black night,
like sparks from a fire
dancing ever so bright.
Flitting so very quietly.

Gleaming and glimmering,
flickering and glowing as
they prance around nightly
full of energy in the dusk sky.

Beauty that cannot be
seen in the light of day,
but come each evening
they will freely illuminate the glen.

Nightly they perform their
spectacular poetry of light.
These little dream nymphs
of the dark mysterious woods.

A magical nocturnal world,
filled with their orange glow.
Cutting through the darkness,
these beautiful fire flies.
