Mechanical World

by Spoken Silence   May 6, 2006

The world is built on excuses
diversions of the mind,
a hollow structure which peace depends on.
It\\\'s a mechanical existence of lies
people forced into deception
where even emotions are obsolete.
A place where \\\"when you cry you rust\\\"
as your heart malfunctions
and your soul is blackened with the oil of silence.
Where the goal is perfection
and perfection is nothing,
putting all the effort into a blank page.
Countless threads from the fabric of our lives,
signed by deceit
destroying the protection to our sheltered beings.

Wow! Short but so effective!!! These lines are amazingly written and very deep: "A place where \"when you cry you rust\", "Where the goal is perfection
    and perfection is nothing,
putting all the effort into a blank page."
    5/5, almost perfect piece.

"people forced into deception" -- amazing, spectacular, words cannot describe. I bow to you.

Wow, you do have a way with words! I liked how you intertwine humans and machines, in particular this line "when you cry you rust." I thought this line was particulary (I can't spell today...actually that may be right I just don't know) unique and really brought the meaning out in this piece. Nice nice work :)
