Distant Desire

by Kaylee   May 8, 2006

Midnight, renewal of morning, guide me with twinkling eyes.
Light bulb swinging from chain, flickering when night closes.
Journal spotted with ink dripping from an unknown pen.
Empty soul reaching for hand, touching unoccupied air
I take thee Midnight into heart, remain my distant desire.

Replace light bulb, which had sparked ideas, now alone.
Read journal pages turning and turning without notice.
Grab the hand that craves open sky, and golden light.
Phoenix rising from their ashen lives, Midnight is.
Mother Earth release pain from those who have lived it.

Always be their Distant Desire…

There's a maturity to this beyond your tender years and it has a much better flow than the other stuff of yours that I've read. It's a real attention grabber.
