Prisoner to You

by Bridgette   May 12, 2006

Blurred vision from the tears I've cried
I can't see anything clearly anymore
I keep pushing my emotions aside
Because I can't take much more

Tensing up at just the sight of you
Remembering all of the memories past
Thinking of everything we've been through
And how it was all ended so fast

Darkness consumes my soul
As I keep trying to block you out
My heart is no longer whole
And pain is what my life's about

Indescribable feelings locked away
No rest for me again tonight
Maybe I'll be better another day
As my feelings for you I still fight

You should smile more if this is true. It was good but too me it could have gone into more emotional detail instead of just telling us. But it was a really well written poem with good power and a lot of sadness which is key for writing a real sad poem.
