Embraced in you LIE.

by facedownindirt   Jun 29, 2006

All smiles,
and not one tear.
Being completely happy.
Feeling no fear.

You holding me close,
staring in your eye.
Knowing I'm safe,
embraced in you lie.

Thinking it was true.
Believing you were mine.
Wanting so much,
for "you and I" to shine.

...You never wanted me,
But I was to in-love to see.

So tare down the pictures,
the one's up on my wall.
Toss them in the fire,
as you watch the ashes fall.

So shred up all the letters,
and throw them to the ground.
I won't pick up the pieces,
that still yet surround.

...I never wanted you,
and I finally know it's true.

So rip apart the memories,
of you and stupid me.
Let them drown in the loneliness,
of what we used to be.
