So Close to Reality

by Bridgette   Jul 1, 2006

I watch you stare at her
With that twinkle in your eye
I feel my emotions stir
As I stifle back my cry

You said to her 'I love you'
And I felt myself go weak
I told myself it wasn't true
As you kissed her on her cheek

I tried my best to look away
But my gaze refused to shift
I knew I shouldn't stay
But my feet I couldn't lift

My alarm clock quickly woke me
I dreamed of you and her again
Something I just hate to see
But I know it won't be the end.
