When I was in pain, you held my hand
When I was scared, you showed no fear
When I was bored, you made me laugh
.. So why are you not here?

When I was angry, you were calm
When I was confused, you showed me how
When I was lonely, you were there
.. So where are you now?

When I was depressed, you cheered me up
When I was out of tune, you sang our song
When I was naughty, you took the blame
.. So where have you gone?

When you were sad, I was with other friends
When you were quiet, I couldn't tell you were bereft
When you were crying, I was never by your side
.. No wonder you left

    I like that you wrote this from the perspective of a bad friend, not like you were the one being treated badly. It's sad when we forget to be there for our friends despite all they do. I really enjoyed this poem! Excellent job! Jpoet*

    I didn't like the repetitive nature of how it's written at first but I read through it again and I like it now. The message is right there - to the point and well written. It's just a writing style that many people will either love or hate, just so you know.
