Night After Night

Standing above you
A single tear falls from
My crystallized eye
And drops to your
Cold rigged body...

Night after night
You'd cry out in pain
As they would beat you...
You'd always stand tall...
Never tried to hide...
And always ended up
Bleeding all through
The long night

Night after night
You held that blade...
Wondering if it's the
Only thing to end
All your pain...
It seemed to bring
You comfort that
You can be your end...

Night after night
You beg me to
Save you from all
Your pain and misery...
And I offer to take you
Away from them and
You refuse to leave them,
For they are your life...

And now you no longer
Have to sit in pain
Night after night
