Peace Of Mind

by Feline Fatigue   Jul 30, 2006

I am standing on the railing of the bridge,
looking over the water and the ridge.
A light breeze starts teasing my hair,
and the sun shines on my skin so bare.
I know now I have found peace of mind,
something that I always wanted to find.

So now that my heart feels like it can,
and now that my soul is ready to try again,
I close my eyes and feel my faith,
God, look at me now, I found the strength.
Thank you for helping me find my way,
now please help me to not go astray.

Here it begins, yes, that I know,
so all that's left to do now is let go.
Suddenly the ground beneath my feet is gone,
the wind rushing past me is like a song.
Don't you worry mom, I wont be long,
I just wanna fly and prove I'm strong.

Great poem. One little thing that I'm a little confused with... You paragraphs are all rhyming, however the second paragraph is missing this. Get's a little hard to read. Overall a great poem!
