You're the Reason

You found me alone and scared
And mended my broken heart
But you never did apologize
For being the reason I fell apart

I tried to find forgiveness
For an apology that wasn't there
But I learned to overlook it
Cause you promised me you cared

We laughed at silly jokes
And always wore a smile
You said you'd always be there
And would walk the extra mile

Well, we got into a fight
And you told me we were through
My heart was quickly shattered
And I whispered 'I love you'

You never truly cared for me
And maybe I should have known
I'm facing my biggest fears
And I'm forced to do it alone

You found me alone and scared
And mended my broken heart

    Wow this poem is beautiful. It reminds exactly how I felt when the love of my life left me. I couldn't describe it in better words, you wrote my feelings down on paper better than I can say. I'm sorry if you had to go throught the same heart-wrenching experience that I did. It's really hard when someone breaks your heart, it feels like the pieces will never fit back together again. I absolutely loved this poem, I rate it 6/5! Fantastic job
