When Will I See You Again?

by Steven Beesley   Aug 15, 2006

When Will I See You Again? :

Several moons have passed,
the tides continue to ebb and flow.
The seasons are now changing and
soon the trees will adorn new overcoats.

My heart yearns to be with you once more,
to read your words that speak volumes
and to partake in your joy and laughter.
When will I see you again?

The long hot days and the arid air
warms my face but not my heart.
Only your company and friendship
can fill the empty space inside.

I long to stroll in the woods,
hand in hand with you by my side.
To see the sunshine fall on your
hair and to see it glisten.

To share twilight moments, soon to
see the moonlight in your eyes.
A deep longing for a tender kiss
under a velvet blanket of stars.
