Since You've Been Gone {Terza Rima}

by sчиτнєτι¢__x.   Aug 15, 2006

Repeating echoes of bad news haunts weak ears,
Strangled emotions appearing through the distance,
Showing nothing besides countless sudden tears.

Stranded here on earth without your sweet guidance,
Loved ones weren't given the chance to say goodbye,
Nor could they replace the joy from your presence.

Questions were asked with no reasons how or why,
Shocked that heaven's now where you sadly belong,
Beyond mountains; higher than clouds in the sky.

Since you've been gone everything feels so wrong,
Can't find our hope and faith to move right along.

    I really enjoyed reading this poem. It's very sad and it gives the perfect description of grief. The second stanza really painted the picture for me:

    Stranded here on earth without your sweet guidance,
    Loved ones weren't given the chance to say goodbye,
    Nor could they replace the joy from your presence.

    Those are the words that pulled me deeper into the reading of your poem. Excellent job. 5/5

    P.S. I'm looking forward to reading more of your poetry in the very near future.
