Friendship isn't about silly sayings
Like Best Friends Till The End
And even though that's what we are
The meaning far extends

It's finishing the other's sentence
For your thoughts are the same
Laughing at some inside joke
That no reason can explain

It is late nights spent talking
About those non-important things
Or really listening to the other
When life shares its sting

It's turning up the radio
And singing the music off key
Because in such a friendship
There's a deep sense of security

It's a sincere appreciation
A knowing that someone's there
A shoulder to lean on
When the world's too much to bear

And when everyone else has left
They stick by your side
Yes it's this kind of friendship
That gives meaning to my life.
