Life's Race

by *Charisma*   Aug 19, 2006

Life is a race and we all run to win
Feeling time is too short to ever give in

We climb all the mountains, swim through the seas
But we are running so fast we miss their beauty

Dash through the forest, and over the hills
Yet once again we are caught missing life's thrills

And what will you say when you have completed the race?
"I had not a moment to enjoy this place."

So take your time, slow down and breathe
Life is not as short as you think it to be.

I liked the idea of this poem, but i think it could have been executed a little bit better. sorry if that sounds harsh. i ithink the length was a good idea, as was the style.
