Black Rose Today

When I'm feeling really good
And nothing's in my way
All obstacles are gone
It's a pink rose kind of day

When I think of you
And look into your eyes
My breath leaves me
And it's a red rose night

When I've spent the day with friends
And talked till I am blue
I am stress free for a moment
A yellow rose comes through

But on other days like this
When life can punch away
There seems to be no help
Then it's a black rose kind of day

But I know that each rose
Only stays in bloom so long
And this black rose will wilt
For a pink one to come along
