Imaginary Life

by *Charisma*   Sep 6, 2006

Ever feel like there's no thrill
Even on a brand new day
And no matter what you try
It will carry on the same

You switch around your tastes
But it's the same flavor
You change clothes for a new look
You look no braver

You smile different than before
But your emotions show
You change your makeup to look fresh
But you'll never have that glow

You change your speech to sound big
But it sounds forced instead
You change your sheets for a warmth
But it's still a cold bed

In the end all you have is you
Hoping for an exchange
Trying to make life different
But it's an imaginary change

I did really like the poem, but to be honest I don't like the line about cereal, it's too......kiddish, I guess. But other than that I like the idea and rhyme scheme.
