Too Late for Pretending

by *Charisma*   Sep 16, 2006

You smiled as if I didn't know
The truth behind your grin
It's too late for hiding lies
I've seen what you keep hidden

You're really not thinking here
Your mind is somewhere else
And still you act as if you care
But you care only for yourself

It's too late for pretending
I know more than what's outside
Don't try to be defending
I've discovered your disguise

You're a crazy a little person
Think your mask still covers you
It's funny how you lip sync
All your so called truths

But the musics turned off
And still your lips are going
Maybe you don't know it yet
But to all of us it's showing

It's too late for pretending
I know more than what's outside
Don't try to be defending
I've discovered your disguise

I say smile for the camera
It will reveal what's in your heart
I'll print up your picture
And we'll all see your other part

Bravo. I wish we could see on the outside of a person what they try to hide inside.

Very well Written. If you get the chance, Read my poem "I don't care if you don't like me"

I think you'll enjoy it as much as I have enjoyed reading this.
