What She Never Had.

-What She Never Had.-

Early spring dew shone in morns' first light,
As she whispered lullabies to the river so polite,
Tracing her fingers on top the tide,
She hushed the tears swallowed in her pride.

The sun arose, as she drug her feet along the sands,
Children laughing and playing on the promise lands,
Leaves falling to the ground like pixie dust,
Slashing her midnight heart with the blade of lust.

Fires burning in her eyes, doused with empty promises,
As your memory rusts with her broken reminisces,
Angels embedded beneath her feet within the snow,
While at her shattered heart, she began to sew.

Deep within the silenced woods she cries,
A final farewell to the love in her eyes,
With destroyed hope she softly drowns,
Remembered as a forest maiden without her crown.

I loved this poem. It is absolutely amazing. While a little cliche with the rhyming on one part, I have no other complaints. This is simple wonderful. Nothing less to say. Great job.

Such mysteries on those words that perfectly matched the scene and emotions of the poem.
