Drops of Relief

by *Charisma*   Oct 3, 2006

Thoughts are flooding my mind
And just won't seem to leave
I'm screaming on the inside
But shouts don't come out of me

I want to turn on the radio
To some song that belts it out
And sing along with it
All so I can finally shout

It's like these emotions
Are pushing on my chest
Trying to break free from me
They won't take a rest

The tension keeps on building
Is it awkward I don't want to cry?
Even with all this pressure
These problems I can't deny

Teardrops aren't the answer
They won't cure this pain
Won't fix the frustration
Or my sanity regain

And despite my courage
My admitting that I'm strong
These drops of relief keep falling
And it fixes what's been wrong

Well, i think this peom could have been a little better if it had a little more strength in it. Although, i do think the last stanza is the strongest stanza there.

P.S. thanks for commenting on my poems. I did think about putting 'Just like you' in the humour section.

Teardrops may not solve the problem, but they sure help heal the pain.

Wonderfully written. Nice flow and heartfelt message.
