SEPARATION

by Flaminia   Oct 13, 2006

A bleat was heard at the field
and then no more
than barking dogs.
Were our ears not listening well
or was it the end
of the poor lamb?
Its separation from this world,
too tough for it lo live within
too tough for it to survive.
Suddenly a new word heard:
a shot
and separation complete.
The soul fades away
as the body's carried
the opposite way.
With tears along their faces
these two friends spread apart
all caused by a miserable event
a five letter short word:
D-E-A-T-H.

Awesome poem. It's really interesting and different, I enjoyed readin it.

    "The soul fades away

all caused by a miserable event
    a five letter short word:

That whole stanza was amazingly done. Loved it. Keep it up! 5/5

Beautiful sad penned, "What's so precious that's blinding, Where is the focus on what's true, Some promises made are binding, As for wisdom who has a clue. Why keep giving pearls to swine, Holding on with baited breath, Unless we seek the true vine, The way will only end in death..."

Another original way of bringing about a subject that should (in a way) be talked about, and yet more important, never be witnessed. Just a few days ago actually I was walking along the road by my house and saw a dead dear on the side of the road. You'd think that death is a part of nature, but still it's not something to be witnessed in that way. It can leave the scars that cease to be seen... Good write.
Again I have no complaints, and I'm sorry that I can't offer any critique, but you have some good writes here.
