What's Inside

by *Charisma*   Dec 11, 2006

Facing the mirror to stare at the girl
Who's small imperfections stand out
In her eyes, they're all she sees
And the reason for her self-doubt

So she pulls out her make-up kit
One by one, disguising her face
To cover up her 'flaws' from public
That to her, are the biggest disgrace

And when it's all on, she smiles
Knowing no one will see her now
Just the mask she wears with pride
And only this is allowed

But what started of as a sunny day
Slowly turns into pouring rain
Though she tries to run from it
Her efforts produce no gain

So she gives up and stands outside
As the make-up washes away
So she learns, what's underneath
Is always there to stay

    Woo!
I like this one and although i shouldn't because it's about how women cover themselves up in shame, it had a happy ending!! Yay!
I've cheered up a tad now which you can probably tell with the 'woo's' and 'yays' lol
As always, you got some great rhyming goin' on! Hehe
