One More Drink

by *Charisma*   Dec 14, 2006

You're dizzy in thoughts
And underneath the sink
Go ahead, get the bottle
Take one more drink

Are those words what you say
When you don't want to fight?
The world could stop spinning
But it's still not all right.

You drown out your problems
For a moment in peace.
But when you rise to the surface
They ever increase.

Like a little kids closet
After they clean
Your minds stuffed with troubles
You don't want to see.

Which is why you're again
Lying on this tiled floor
So dazed you can't stand
To close the bathroom door.

When you collect yourself
Out of this jumbled mess
Throw the bottles away
Time to clean your shelf.

Clean out your body,
The secret places you stash.
Clean out your mind,
And be free at last!

    Brilliantly done..
You could maybe do a sequel to this, on the way he/she gets off the booze and how they cut down cos thats just another battle in itself
Wow, this one was really powerful, so many people could do with reading it.
It really puts things into perspective..
