She'll Always Be Like This

by *Charisma*   Dec 21, 2006

She thinks she's beautiful
And least that's what everyone tells her
But the one person she loves
Apparently has seen better

She walks up and starts talking
Telling him whatever's on her mind
But his eyes dance around the room
Looking for another find

She could sing it all on stage
To an audience of him, the only one
Still he'd never see this girl in the clouds,
Too blinded by the rays of the sun

She could scream it out loud
But this man would never hear her cries
And she remains wrapped up in him
He walks on, living another life

And it's sad she'll never know love
And never share it with any other man
As long as she still thinks theirs hope
And changes will soon take their stand

But she's putting blind faith
In a hope that doesn't really exist
Because he'll go on living like he does
And she'll always stay like this

(couldn't find my original of this. It got deleted, so this is from memory, and new pieces put together.)

I've been here. The boy you're madly in love with couldn't hate you more. Oh yeah, I know what this feels like. The poem was great. Except the flow was a little off but other than that, it was lovely!

Another great write! Unfortunately I've seen this situation too often....unrequited love, the stuff poems are made of! I enjoyed it very much. 5/5
