Silently Screaming

Pain wells up inside my soul,
Filling the void that is my heart,
I won't ever be able to be whole,
Not with being so torn apart,
Not with the darkness fighting for control,
I just pray the tears will cease to come,
The ache in my heart will disappear,
The need to cut will consume itself,
And maybe someone will hear,
As I sit here silently screaming,
Through this long and endless night,
As I sit here silently screaming,
And doing my best to fight.
