Picture In A Frame

by *Charisma*   Jan 8, 2007

(for a contest. Acrostic)

Places of yesterday held behind glass
Into another place, a happier past
Crying because it doesn't seem fair
To look and see, but not return there
Unfolding memories break me down
Relishing moments I'd once found
Even though I'm much stronger now

Innocence in freckles upon the face
Now dusty from time and cluttered space

Another thought of sweet childhood

Fleeing from the mind that once understood
Remembering how nice it was to be young
A part of life when sweeter songs were sung
My heart only leaps when I look into the glass
Entering a place with a happier past
