Not another night
Please, not one more bruise
Not another reason
To feel so abused

Don't tell me you hate me
Or that you don't care
Don't beat me than break me
This once, please me spare

My teddy is worn out
From the times I've held on
Squeezing him tighter
As I cried all night long

My pillow is covered
In little black stains
Where makeup has melted
As I cowered in pain

My heart is near shattered
And my soul is broken
I'm battered outside in
From more than words spoken

And I hate that I have
No where to run to
Near or far away
It all leads to you

The evidence shows
I'm splattered with fear
But does anyone listen?

Is there any escape
From this pit I am in
Is there a real place
To feel loved again

Where teddy's are toys
Meant for you to have fun
And makeup isn't to cover
Times you couldn't run

Do tears of pure joy
Really even exist?
Is there happiness
Among all of this?
