Wrong

What did I do wrong
Why did you stop the love
I gave you every bit of me
I thought our love was from above

But no, I handed you my heart
And you ripped it into shreds
I watched it fall apart
As you just shook your head

I sat there and cried for hours
You said we were friends
But you were my first love
And I don’t know like how the road bends

I’m still here waiting for you
My friends call me pathetic
But little did they know
Even I did not know that I could get this low

I sat in my room thinking of you
I held a piece of broken glass
I put it against my skin
As I thought of the past

    Although, this poem has some good parts, it lacks the essense that makes me feel along with you, as you tell your tale.

    Try adding some details of the relationship or something of the sort; because, love poems, when vague, tend to be very... generic. I promise if you make this poem a bit more original, with some dialogue or characterization, it would be 10x better.

    Great pain and emotions is startws out as a whisper and grows into a great scream love it great work! the flow and rythem was great loved every word!
