Morning sunshine (a false title)

by Espoirfailed   Feb 4, 2007

I beg for the tears
To fall upon the ground
And grow and shimmer
And flourish without a sound.

To nurture a blanket of deceit
To soften the fall.
And let the morning sunshine
Be oblivious to all.

With the purpose of trapping
hope. As my intention.
The failures begun
without intervention.

But the lying rays of sun,
Can be rather deceiving.
Taking your life dreams,
Naivety of believing.
It's my motivation you are stealing,
My power you are thieving.

I'm longing and yearning,
For what I aspire.
I'm searching and learning,
What I require.

I'm looking and viewing,
And getting no nearer.
I'm wishing and pursuing,
But it's getting no clearer.

It's only a step away,
But what if that step's
A ten foot leap?
But I'll try,
The void lures me in
It's cold and dry.
No rays of sun,
No illusion,
Just the outcasts,
The world shuns.

Here in my seclusion,
In unnecessary profusion.
It's a forgone conclusion
The unwanted intrusion.
Leaves only my self delusion.
