For That Butterfly

by Goran Rahim   Mar 8, 2007

Once,
You were a lover too,
You should know
How I feel.

Seeing you
I get butterflies in stomach,
That you are trying to kill.

Do not kill that butterfly,
Give it a life
Whenever I see you.

Not for me,
But for that butterfly
Just once,
Tell me "I love you"

The symbolism is great in this poem. Despite that it's short, you discussed very well you're intended message. I thought the butterfly was a excellent choice for your connotation, kudos.
