More to Gain

by *Charisma*   Mar 8, 2007

Lost in the moment of the past
When I was in love with you.
Why couldn't all of it last?
Dreams are too good to come true.

I was trying so hard to forget
And take the pieces left of my life.
Yet, I'm living in my old regrets
Thinking maybe it was somehow right.

But I know that you never loved me
And baby, that's what hurts the most
Knowing I gave my heart completely
To such an undesiring host.

And it's no one's fault but my own
For not listening to what you didn't say.
In unspoken terms you had shown
Love for me wasn't your way.

Like an old movie I'll rewind the times
Too the good parts...ones worth the pain.
Next time I'll pay attention to the signs.
Maybe then I will have more to gain.
