I don't want to think of you with her
But it's all that fills my head
Especially when your friends bring her up
It's painful ground to tread

I knew you had her before me
And i know she treated you bad
I know that when you got with me
You felt love and you were glad

I have no doubt you love me
We're engaged for goodness sake
We're best friends as well as lovers
We're both certain this isn't fake

Yet when your friends begin to talk
About your and hers sex life
All it does is stab my heart
With a rusty, blunt edge knife

As long as she is oin our lives
I'm never going to rest
I'm always going to wonder if
I'm the girl who's second best ©

    We always wonder if we are second best...it's their eyes that will put it to the test...gaze into his eyes and you'll know it's true...he'll love her less than he loves you.
