Side of a Bullet

Side of a Bullet

I nearly fell in head over heels,
Though I've never been that type.
Something in my life was missing
And at the time you felt so right.

You seemed to be the pieces
That left my puzzle still undone.
It's no wonder I couldn't resist.
I believed you were the one.

Yet, a part of me kept thinking
Maybe there was more to you.
My mind wouldn't let go of thoughts
That all you said wasn't true.

And because I kept myself from
Falling completely over and above
I was only hit by the side of a bullet
Laced with the pangs of love.

The last stanza is my favourite, it is so beautiful.
I thought there seemed to be quite a few fillers in this one, but apart from that it is still a beautiful read and a wonderful write.

Beautifully penned. The flow was excellent. Very well put together. Your word choice is good too, none of your rhyming is forced. Nice job!
