Final Thoughts

by Gem   Apr 13, 2007

He stares at the page before him
And lifts up a trembling hand
Unable to find the exact words
To make them all understand

Understand why this is his choice
And it's what he needs to do
Now that his beautiful wife has left him
Life's just too cold and blue

He's not scared about what's in store
Or of what's on the other side
None of this would be happening
If his dear wife hadn't died

He can still remember it clearly
The screech of brakes and then a crash
The feeling of total helplessness
As they made the hospital dash

When the doctors told him she was gone
He felt the his whole world break apart
There was no point in carrying on
When he could never mend his heart

Life was nothing now without her
he was tired of this ongoing fight
So he finished his letter and folded it up
Took his pills and shut his eyes tight

How sad....sometimes there are worse things than death...

Understand why this is his choice
And it's what he needs to do
Now that his beautiful wife has left him
Life's just too cold and blue
