If I Was Born Beautiful

If I was born beautiful...
I'd wear all the stylish clothes
That are designed with pretty girls in mind
All the low-cut fitted tops
I turn away from every time

If I was born beautiful...
I wouldn't need so much make-up
To try and cover all my flaws
I'd smile knowing it wasn't for me
And bask in admiring applause

If I was born beautiful...
I'd be more confident in myself
I wouldn't be so painfully shy
I'd be popular with everyone
And in the night I wouldn't cry

If I was born beautiful...
Life would be so much easier
Beautiful people aren't left behind
The boys would be lining up for me
Love would be a cinch to find

I was born beautiful...
Everyone is born this way
We have all been so naive
We are all born beautiful
It's not something we achieve
