Death of the World

by SiLeNtLy ScReAmInG   May 19, 2007

As I take a look around,
There are many things wrong with what I see,
The world is slowly dying,
And there is no where for us to flee.

Unwanted children suffer,
Many die before having a chance to live,
The world will never know,
What they might of had to give.

Soldiers fight a war,
That never seems to end,
They watch those around them die,
It's the government they defend.

Many people live in hunger,
When we have so much to spare,
There are people who die from starvation,
But no one seems to care.

Our world is slowly dying,
It's ripping at the seams,
We have created nightmares,
From our ancestors' fondest dreams.

The lives we live are wasteful,
Rotting the world to the core,
There is still time to save it,
If we choose not to hurt it anymore.
