How do you come off thinking
That everything's okay?
You act like nothing's happened.
Does it help to toss the blame?

It's always been my fault
That we don't keep in touch.
You lie right to my face
But it's you who messed us up.

Chorus:

With my nose against the pane
Waiting on a phone call
That spelled heartache when it rang.
I'd be on the other line
When it was 2 hours 2 late
With your half-starved truths
About why you can't make it.
After what you've done
And the hurt you put me through
I shouldn't have any love
But God won't let me hate you.

I know you love me, you do
But the way you show it sucks
And I don't want perfection
But this isn't enough

Say you'll be there and show
Call me when I cross your mind
Quit putting off your daughter
And wasting precious time

    I actually already commented on this one but I'll tell you again that this was extremely emotional and perfectly penned. The picture described here of the nose against the pane....perfect! Again, I'm sorry that you feel this way but you are really great at putting your feelings into words...great job! :)

    That was so heart-wrenching! I absolutely loved it. I'm so sorry though that this is what you must experience. You expressed it wonderfully though, girl. Just keep fighting, and remember that God is happy that you don't give up :)
