A Hard Day's Night

The clouds are overhead.
They moved in so fast,
Along with the heartache
Too strong now to pass.

The sun's ripped away,
So much like my heart.
The sky's breaking up
As my world falls apart.

At first the tears trickled,
But now brews the storm.
There's no hope left here
To keep myself warm.

I'm soaked to the core.
I don't feel a thing.
And though the rain pours
I can't feel it's sting.

I'm numb to the world.
Especially to you.
I let the sun shine
When the sky wasn't blue.

The darkness was there
Though I claimed I saw light.
Where did that get me?
Lonely tonight.

    I think the first two stanzas were my favorite. I liked the last line, it was simple, yet effective. Overall it was a pretty good poem, I can't find anything I don't like about it anyway.

    Amazing. What else is to be expected from your writing though? You always speak from the heart and I absolutely love that about your poetry. You don`t make it too personal, but it is personal at the same time...still so easy for the reader to relate to and put themselves in that situation. The beginning pulled me in right away and then ending was perfect. The question served well on the second last line and the last line was just like BAM lol..good job, Hun.

    Your poems are stunning. Your sad one's tragically beautiful and this is no exception. I beleive your becoming one of my favorites. This is painfully good. I love it.
