Back Into the Sky

Back Into the Sky

It starts out as sunshine
Not a cloud in sight
And you wonder, "for once
Could things turn out right?"

But the hope fades out
Into the shadows of clouds
Waiting for a chance
That may never come around.

You think it's temporary
But the skies stay grey.
Hours of the darkness
Throw all dreams away.

Then the lightning crashes
Right to your heart's core.
Bad things should get better
But on comes so much more.

The rain starts to drizzle
Just to tell you it's there.
Washes away all sanity
Drowns out reason to care.

Then it pours down harder
But you don't feel refreshed.
Things went from bad to worse
You haven't had any rest.

The clouds will finish crying.
The thunder will go away.
Now you've only got the time
Till it all evaporates...

Back into the sky.
