Just Another Song

Years passed away, like my simple melody
And all the joy I felt is just a memory
My heart is crushed by thoughts I can't explain
Though I try to be alright, my life's not the same

All the words I want to give are just another song
It surprises me deeply how I was wrong
How you won't listen to what I need to say
My pencil fades to black, my words run away

All my sad talent is just another song
To your life of wonder, I cannot belong
I create not more than this simple melody
Too deep to ever be known in history
