A Sacred Place

All I can hear is the rustling of pages
Listening to the silence is deafening
Surrounded by books of many kinds
They're sitting on the shelves waiting

In each book there's a new adventure
A whole newfound world to get lost in
Princes or knights to save the day
You never know what could lie within

I open a newly discovered book
Excitement races through my body
I turn the clinging pages rapidly
Itching to dive into the intriguing story

Many come visit this precious place
Yet few people see what it really is
A sacred place full of magical worlds
All these books have so much to give

I had no idea where to put this poem so I just put it here. If you guys have any other suggestions where to put it let me know.

Also, I feel like this poem isn't finished so if you have any suggestions about something else I could put in it I'm all ears.

    Really good .... it is like me books are like my sacred place i adorn them therefore i love the library this shows the love of books by others and its like how books take you to amazing places where anything is possible great poem 5/5

    WOW! amazing i didnt like the first stanza tho it didnt capture me a whole.. didnt get my attention. the flow was flawless which made this poem feel whole. i loved it. great poem with meaning
