Once upon a time, in a dump of a school,
a exited, yet scared crowd awaits...
Standing in my gown
Starting at the crowd...
I watch the branches tremble
As the breeze around me flies...
Red as the roses that brush against your lips,
Sweet as the touch at the end of your fingertips...
Lost in these rooms
Life not as it seems...
Lover's whispers melt away the ice,
On a cold and frosty winters morn...
Minute grain from ocean's frothy whorl
In oyster's bed begets a precious pearl...
Mementos dealt in wasted years
Blessed fontanel of tears...
Whispers of poetry
As gemstones to your ears...
Broken hearts, love's deceit,
pieces fall down to my feet...
Bound to this island
It is our only home...
Your pictures are in frames, memories on my wall,
To have you here again, I would give them all...
A poet's pen with dexterous hand
Ink to paper often can...
Feeling your skin from this paper in my hand
Crimson ink reminding me of your fingertips...
No uttered words the poet speaks,
No skies of golden hue...
Seeing you so happy
Completely tears me apart...
Liquified Promises
Flushed Down The Drain...
