Yesterdays Dreams

Lost in these rooms
Life not as it seems
All of yesterdays
Nothing but dreams

All hopes and promises
Plans washed away
Nothing left to strive for
Taken one sad day

Awakened, painful moans
Recognizing the voice
Where did the laughter go
Sometimes there is no choice

Left counting lonely days
Drying endless tears
Suffering eternally
Waiting so many years

Unreal smiles shown
To save others grief
Smiles given in return
For pain no relief

Locked behind walls
Amongst life's facades
Destined for sadness
Until freed by God.

    i loved this stanza alot. it realy relates to me.. yor this poem made me sad for one second. and i thought about my past love. realy do not know why a tear came from my eyes. welldone my friend. your work is always appriciated. take care 5/5
